Position: Staff Instructor/Training Coordinator
Details: We seek a highly motivated and qualified person with excellent communication skills to serve as an Academy Staff Instructor/Training Coordinator.
The successful applicant should be prepared to work in Basic Training. The Academy provides training for approximately 1,600 Criminal Justice Officers from both member and non-member agencies as well as other Law Enforcement Agencies on a contractual basis.
In this position the individual will be required to perform many aspects of Academy operation, including but not limited to: coordinating instructor scheduling, supervision of classroom activities and Recruits Officers as well as instructing assigned classroom topics.
Position requirements: Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years law enforcement or jail officer experience or combination of same; DCJS certified general instructor and excellent computer skills in the utilization of Microsoft Office software.
This is an extremely demanding position and requires an individual’s ability to work simultaneously on many different projects related to Basic Training.
Starting salary range $35,500.38 – $40,000.50, final salary commensurate with Education, Training, and Experience. A benefits package comes with this position as well.

Details: On a continual basis, the Academy seeks highly motivated and qualified people with excellent skills to serve as Adjunct Instructors
Successful candidates should be prepared to assist in areas of Academy Instruction. Only candidates that have experience in needed General or Specialized areas of Instruction will be considered.
These are primarily volunteer positions; if compensation at a contract rate is considered it will be determined based on Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
